Cruises From PortAn Independent Guide

How we research these boat tours

Every boat on this site is a listing that exists today on a booking platform. We read the operator's own product page for the price, the duration, the rating and the review count, take the photo the operator publishes, and print all of it as it stands. Nothing is averaged, rounded up, or carried over from a previous season.

What we check, and how often

Prices, ratings and review counts are re-read from the source pages and the whole site is rebuilt from that read. The page tells you the month it was last checked, in the lead-in above every table. Where a figure comes from somewhere other than a booking platform — a ferry fare, a national-park charge, a reserve ticket — the sentence names the body that collects it, so you can check it yourself.

What we do not do

We do not run boats and we are not an agency. We do not quote reviews below four stars as showcase testimonials, and we do not quietly drop the awkward facts: if the public ferry does the same crossing for a fraction of the price, the port page says so and shows the arithmetic. If a cave closes in a swell, that is on the page too.

How the site is paid for

Links to booking platforms are affiliate links. If you book through one, the platform pays a commission at no extra cost to you — the price you see is the price the platform charges anyone. Commission does not decide the order of the boats on a page: the tables are ordered by what the reader is choosing between, and the operator's own rating and review count are printed next to every one of them.
